Le Matin means the morning. après means after.

When the pastry counter closes at two, the same kitchen turns to gelato: small batches of gelato and sorbet, churned fresh in-house, with flavours built the way we build our pastries. Toasted rice with puffed rice crisp. Burnt corn with miso caramel. Passionfruit with olive oil.

There is soft serve, parfaits and brown butter waffles too. Come after work, after the gym, after dinner.

The details

Gelato by night at Viva Vista. From two o'clock the Le Matin counter becomes après Gelato: small-batch gelato and sorbet, made in-house and churned fresh here, with soft serve, parfaits and brown butter waffles. We stay open until ten, and until eleven on Fridays and Saturdays.

Opening hours

  • Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday: 2pm to 10pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 2pm to 11pm
  • Closed Monday and Tuesday

Walk-ins only. No service charge and no GST. Free outdoor seating.

Take-home tubs

Individual tub $6 · 500ml $30 · 1L $50. Choose two to three flavours in a 500ml tub, or three to four in a 1L tub. Pre-order tubs for pick-up or delivery.
